West Coast Fever is proud to announce, in partnership with the City of Mandurah, that we will see the Suncorp Super Netball side travel south to face the Queensland Firebirds in a pre season match in February.
Fever’s loyal regional supporters will also be rewarded with a Community Clinic and Open Training Session, ahead of the clash with the three-time National League champions on Sunday, February 25 2018.
West Coast Fever Executive Officer Tamara Sheppard said it was exciting for the Club to take the fixture to the region.
“It’s fantastic to be able to reward our loyal regional supporter base with a wonderful schedule of events,” Sheppard said.
“We take great pride in representing all of Western Australia on the National stage, and look forward to giving back to our fans in Mandurah, many of who can’t generally make our home games.”
“We thank the City of Mandurah and the State Government for their ongoing support of our game, and look forward to that relationship continuing into the future.”
Mandurah Mayor Rhys Williams said the City of Mandurah was excited to welcome the West Coast Fever to Mandurah in February.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the City to promote elite women’s sport, and we’re extremely proud to support this event,” he said.
“What’s really great is that young girls and netball players in Mandurah will have the chance to see their favourite players and role models in action.”
The match is also made possible by the State Government’s Country Sport Enrichment Scheme and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
